Welcome to my blog!

Hi, there!

My interest in feltmaking began several years ago when I stumbled upon an exhibition in a small town in the west of Ireland. I was mesmerised. I couldn't believe that such a basic raw material as the wool off a sheep's back could be transformed by water, soap and elbow grease into a million different things, from a delicate corsage or necklace to a sturdy bag or rug.

Over the next few years I learnt as much as I could, studying with expert feltmakers and developing my own designs. I bored friends and family and created a lot of mess around the house, but I was hooked.

I mainly use dyed merino wool, occasionally combining it with tussah silk to add a luxurious quality to scarves, bowls - even beads. I love using buttons and beads (both new and recycled), silver-plated findings and unusual fibres such as hemp thread to create eye-catching and unique pieces.

If you would like me to create something unique just for you, do please get in touch!

  1. Hi I followed your link from UK Handmade, and really like the uniqueness of your pieces, do you by any chance sell your own brand of felted beads?
